Technology Talk

As a pre-service teacher, I have definitely wondered about how I would respond to parents that might disagree with something I introduce into the classroom. To prepare ourselves to respond to parents who are against or hesitant about technology use in the classroom, Alexa and I created a conversation between a teacher and a parent regarding using YouTube in the classroom. I played the role of the parent, and Alexa played the role of the teacher.

Both of us collaborated on the creation of the conversation between the parent and the teacher. The video lags in the beginning, below is the script if you want a more concrete version of the conversation. To film the conversation, we created a new meeting through Zoom and hit record. I then used Windows Movie Maker to trim the video and add a title. Finally, since we were talking about YouTube, I published the video on YouTube! I hope you enjoy our debate about using YouTube in the classroom.
